Bruising
Bruising can arise from an appliance, a belt, a corset or a Convex product fitting incorrectly and too tightly. It can also occur from trauma from rubbing or knocking the localised skin repeatedly. This can make the skin tender and in time can lead to an ulcer.

The picture above shows slight bruising around the peristomal skin and a small ulcer at the 8 o’ clock position. This has been caused by the use of convexity.
