Eczema
Eczema may occur on different parts of the body at any time and can have periods of remission (a period when it is not active). Eczema around a stoma usually presents around the edge of the adhesive of the pouch (the flange).
People with eczema can have a low tolerance threshold to adhesives. The flange (the part that sticks to your body) may irritate your skin at certain times and you may need to monitor your skin condition. It is important to seek the advice of a specialist nurse.
