Paediatric Stomas

Surgery may be required within hours of your baby’s birth and there may be little time for consultation and discussion about the procedure.  When your baby has had the stoma formed, you will be given help and advice from the nurse specialist and specialist baby unit staff. Never be afraid to ask for help, advice and explanations.

Shown here is the Welland paediatric pouch.
